Besides Sushmita and Shiney Ahuja, 'Zindagi Rocks' stars Moushmi Chatterjee, Kim Sharma and Seema Biswas.

The film will have five soft rock songs composed by Anu Malik . Singer Sunidhi Chauhan is Sushmita’s voice for these songs.

‘Zindagi Rocks’ is slated to release in August.

'Zindagi Rocks' with Sushmita Sen at Native Place

Movie Director Tanuja Chandra was looking for a location for her latest movie ‘Zindagi Rocks’ (previously titled ‘Rockin’). The movie is a story of romance between a fun loving grandiose singer (Sushmita Sen) and a shy doctor ( Shiney Ahuja)

Sush’s character in the film has been superbly styled. Everything about her from the tattoo on her arm to her wardrobe has a distinctive touch. ‘Native Place’, a very special guesthouse with exotic charm was chosen as Sush's house to suit her character and taste.

Tanuja was happy to find a location that was unique and in keeping with ‘Kriya (Sushmita)’s character’. The openness of the structure, the possibilities that the house presented in terms of camera angles and lighting, the open style of the building and the many different areas within as well as a great garden fitted the bill.

Sushmita herself loved the location and demanded to know why she was not staying there itself. She told Sanjay that she loved the character of the place and that it had a very positive vibe.

The central courtyard with its picnic table was used as a party location, the living room was transformed into a den, the entrance gate and steps as well as the front lawns were all made use of.

Native Place is built on many levels, has a lot of open areas through the house so a lot of natural light comes through. It is easily transformed into a set as the basic structure of the house is conducive to great photo ops.

Beginning with the central courtyard that is open to sky, the different levels, steps and paths all around this and the living room with French windows and large openings that face the garden and the lake. From the terrace that showcases great views of the lake and the hills around, one can also look down into the well of the central courtyard that floods the entire house with natural light. The sit outs and decks showcase stunning views as well.

The Garden is planted with an extensive variety of plants and trees and has an exotic tropical feel. The garden itself has many interesting, levels as well as interesting little nooks and corners including stepped , paved, grassy areas and wooden pergolas covered with profusely flowering fragrant climbers.
