Facilities in the garden
Native Place invites you to make the most of the stunning views and enjoy the outdoors. It offers a variety of inviting hangout areas for you to lounge about in solitude, or amongst friends. Enjoy the quiet places curled up with a book, or revel in the vibrant interactive areas where you can meet interesting people. The rooms have no AC, no TV, nor phones, no room service and no newspapers.
What we offer you is the chance to take residence in this earthy guesthouse and enjoy simplicity at its best. We encourage you to step out and imbibe the natural beauty and serene atmosphere as you sample the many individual spaces we have created for you to unwind in and get comfortable with yourself in this laidback world.

Slide into a hammock under the Umbar tree and get introduced to the whole new concept of ‘Horizontal Bird Watching’. You may spot barbets, leaf warblers, spider hunters, tailor birds, orioles and others.

A few paces from the bustle of the house, this area is buzzing with energy all day and all night. Close your eyes and feel nature’s breath During summer it becomes the tenting zone.

There are many quiet spots to just sit and relax in the garden - just outside the lake front rooms, under the Umbar tree, near the Lotus pond, closer to the lake. You could also take a walk through the lush greenery and find your own spot too!

A 2 tiered bench in this paved area located right outside the kitchen makes a great place to have a cup of tea and a chat. Basil, clematis and other plantings add a fragrant touch to the atmosphere.

This rectangular patch of land has hosted many an exciting match, including India and Nepal v/s Sri Lanka and India v/s England matches. This is also where the bonfire is lit at night.

Tropical Fruit Garden

Mango, jackfruit, cashew-nut, kokam, lemon, chickoo, drumstick, pomegranate, guava, love apple, cinnamon… Wander about this little grove and discover for yourself. Resist the urge to pluck fruits.

Flowing through a stepped garden of lush tropical planting this area is great to watch birds in the early mornings and evenings. Sit here with a cup of tea and watch sunbirds, magpie robins, bulbuls at work and at play.

stone encircles river sand … encircles a tree. Lounge about this Zen garden space in meditative silence alone or with friends. Take your sandals off, sink your feet into the sand and let your thoughts idle. Sink a little deeper and resume your silent contemplation.
